A 15-year-old girl has died after a crash at Sunshine Beach last night.

Emergency services were called to Edwards Street about 6.50pm following reports a BMW X5 had collided with two stationary vehicles before rolling.

The driver of the BMW, a 48-year-old Peregian Beach woman, was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A passenger of the BMW, a 17-year-old Peregian Beach girl, was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with life-threatening chest and leg injuries.

The other passenger, a 15-year-old Peregian Beach girl, sustained critical injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.

No other persons were injured in the incident.

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the circumstances of the crash and are appealing to anyone who may have information that could assist to come forward. Quote this reference number: QP2500364181.
