Dozens of properties have been sold at a mega auction on the Sunshine Coast.

Half of the 86 properties offered to the market were purchased for a combined $45.67 million at the annual Ray White Coastal Living Network Auction Event at Mercedes-Benz Maroochydore.

Ray White Mooloolaba and Kawana Waters auctioneer and director James Goldsworthy lauded the function, which attracted hundreds of serious buyers and interested onlookers.

“We are incredibly proud of what the team has achieved today,” he said. “Not only was it our biggest event in the amount of properties we offered, but in the size of our team and in the sales result achieved on the day.”

The highest sale of the day was a luxurious Palm Springs style home with views.

No 7 Sorensen Avenue at Buderim was sold for $2.425 million by listing agent Greg Ward from Ray White Buderim.

Any higher? The auction event in full swing.

One of the most anticipated properties in the lead up to the event was a block of eight flats on 1148sqm of prime real estate in Nambour.

It was sold prior to the auction day, after multiple offers, for $2.7 million by listing agent Ryan Aldred from Ray White Nambour.

Ray White Maroochydore and Buderim auctioneer and director Dan Sowden said the auction event was a success.

“It was a remarkable outcome given we bought 86 properties on the market that attracted some 2500 buyers viewing the properties prior to auction,” he said.

No.7 Sorensen Avenue was a top seller.

“With over 150 bidders in the room and hundreds more turning in online, this shows us there is absolute confidence in the Sunshine Coast property market.”

Thirty-four homes were sold under the hammer, two were sold immediately after and seven were sold prior to the event.

Since the event’s inception in 2015, the network has auctioned 524 properties, totalling in more than $303 million in sales.

The event was presented by more than 75 staff from the Ray White Coastal Living Network’s five offices (Maroochydore, Buderim, Mooloolaba, Kawana Waters and Nambour).

Major partners on the day included Mercedes-Benz Sunshine Coast, realestate.com and Moes Media.
