A new partnership involving a helicopter tourism company and a luxury country estate promises to take Sunshine Coast wedding experiences to the next level.

OceanView Helicopters and Yandina Station are offering couples the chance to combine aerial views with the rustic charm of a stylish rural retreat.

The partnership is part of OceanView’s growth plans and efforts to collaborate with the broader South-East Queensland tourism industry.

OceanView is working closely with Visit Sunshine Coast, Visit Moreton Bay and Tourism and Events Queensland to promote the South-East to media and travel trade.

It was also part of the sod-turning ceremony to mark the start of construction at the Sunshine Coast Aerospace Precinct expansion in June.

OceanView co-founder and chief pilot Karl Mayne said the venture would be a hit with customers.

“We are excited to join forces with Yandina Station to elevate the wedding experience on the Sunshine Coast for both local, inter-state and international wedding parties,” he said.

“Our combined experience makes us best placed to deliver unforgettable wedding experiences for brides, bridal parties and guests.

“Our partnership will include tailor-made experiences that will combine private scenic helicopter rides with event space and expertise on a quintessential Queensland farm in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.”

Tammy and Mick tied the knot at Yandina Station, where OceanView Helicopters offers next-level wedding experiences.

Yandina Station is set on 88 hectares (217 acres) west of Coolum and Noosa beaches.

It’s home to three cottages for on-site accommodation and an events venue for up to 180 seated guests.

Station general manager Justin Lippiatt said the new partnership offered couples an exciting option.

“We’re delighted to work with OceanView Helicopters who understand what our guests need when it comes to weddings,” he said.

“We’ve seen a growing trend of events and weddings looking for stand-out experiences in the lead-up and during the event, such as heli-golf tours from Yandina Station, food experiences by air and, of course, the ultimate bridal arrival in style.”
