The Enchanted Drive: Caloundra Regional Gallery, in collaboration with Sunshine Coast Libraries presents the next exhibition for the Maroochydore Library Artspace. Toni Rea’s series The Enchanted Drive: Landscape in Motion is inspired by driving through the Glass House Mountains or the Daki, as it is known by the Gubbi Gubbi people. This abstract painting series is a response to the disorientation caused by motion, with strobe sunlight through the broken tree canopy, bleached-out noon forms, inclines and falls of the landscape juxtaposed against horizons that appear and disappear.
