Friday, April 21, 10.45am: A patient was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition after being bitten by a snake off David Low Way at Coolum Beach at 9.32am.

Friday, April 21, 7.30am: A man was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, in a serious but stable condition, with chest injuries after a motorcycle struck a tree on David Low Way at Marcoola at 10.53pm last night.

Thursday, April 20, 2.20pm: A motorcyclist has died following a crash with a vehicle at Kureelpa around 9am.

According to a Queensland Police Service media release, preliminary information indicates a black BMW K1300 motorbike was travelling east along Mapleton Road below the Dulong lookout when a collision occurred with a white 2016 Ford Ranger utility travelling west.

The rider, a 70-year-old Sunshine Coast man, was immediately assisted by the driver, however sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle, a 47-year-old Kureelpa man, was not physically injured.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances and anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage is urged to contact police.

Wednesday, April 19, 12.15pm: Sunshine Coast residents are being urged to help as part of an ongoing investigation to locate a missing 58-year-old man.

Police have released CCTV images after Douglas Robertson went missing from a property at Albert Evans Drive, Worongary, on the Gold Coast, on Wednesday, February 22. He has not been seen or heard from since.

Family and police hold serious concerns for Douglas’ welfare as his disappearance is out of character.

Police believe Douglas travelled by car to the northern end of the Sunshine Coast on February 22.

Police have released an image of Douglas in a blue 2010 Hyundai i30 with Queensland registration 434RDE from February 22.

They have also released CCTV images of Douglas from the morning he went missing.

Residents in Noosaville and surrounding areas are urged to review their CCTV or dashcam footage between February 22 and 27, and to check their properties for his car.

Douglas is described as Caucasian, about 160cm tall with short brown hair, blue eyes and a snake tattoo above his right ankle.

Douglas, or anyone with information about his car or whereabouts, is urged to immediately contact police.

Wednesday, April 19, 9.55am: The occupant of a single-vehicle rollover in Buderim was assessed but did not require transport to hospital. The incident happened on Orme Road and Gloucester Road at 8.12am.

Wednesday, April 19, 8am: A person was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after a four-vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway north bound at Landsborough at 6.02am.

Wednesday, April 19, 6am: A man in his 50s with back injuries was transported in a stable condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after a fall from a ladder at a private address in Buderim at 5.55pm yesterday.

Wednesday, April 19, 6am: Police have released images of two men that may be able to assist with investigations into an assault at Maroochydore in February.

About 2.15am on February 4, a 23-year-old Teneriffe man, a 30-year-old Mooloolaba man and a 25-year-old Mooloolaba man were walking along Ocean Street near the intersection of Horton Parade.

The three men were approached by a group of unknown men and assaulted.

The 23-year-old man fell to the ground and lost consciousness. He sustained lacerations and bruising, and was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

The other two men with him also were assaulted and sustained minor injuries.

The attackers fled the scene on foot towards Horton Parade.

Anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage, or may have witnessed the incident, is asked to contact police.

Monday, April 17, 6.30am: Paramedics were responding to a single-vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway at Cooroy at 5.51am. One patient was believed to be in a stable condition.
