A woman has been airlifted to hospital after becoming unwell while scuba diving at Inskip, near Rainbow Beach, on Tuesday.
The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical team was tasked by Retrieval Services Queensland at 1.35pm and flew to the area, landing on an airstrip.
A critical care LifeFlight doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service flight paramedic worked alongside local QAS paramedics to assess and treat the woman, who is in her 40s.
She was flown to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
