The secret is out after one of the region’s most loved restaurants has been recognised nationally as the “best of the best” for the second year running.

Tripadvisor recently released its 2022 Travellers’ Choice awards that finds and ranks the best travel and dining destinations from across the world.

It’s a delicious outcome for Mooloolaba’s Bella Venezia, which has been voted the number one restaurant in the Best of the Best Award for Top Everyday Eats – Australia.

This award is Tripadvisor’s highest recognition and is presented annually to businesses that top rankings on the popular travel site.

Since 1983 – as one of the longest established a la carte restaurants on the Coast – Bella Venezia has been serving delicious and fresh pasta, pizza and Mediterranean cuisine.

Menu items include beef cheek pappardelle, Moreton Bay bug risotto, eggplant caponata, linguine gamberoni, plus an extensive range of pizzas and wines.

Owners Kristine and Todd Young said to be awarded the accolade for the send year in a row was an achievement to be proud of.

“We are thrilled to win this international award again for the second consecutive year,” Ms Young said.

“This is great news for Mooloolaba and the Sunshine Coast region.

“Bella Venezia has evolved and expanded over the years into the ultimate fine dining experience, with an internationally awarded wine list. The restaurant has soul.”

Traveller’s Choice has congratulated the winners.

“Every year, we comb through reviews and ratings from diners worldwide to find the best restaurants on Tripadvisor,” a statement from the company read.

“The Travellers’ Choice awards honour travellers’ favourite destinations, hotels, restaurants, things to do, and beyond, based on the reviews and opinions collected from travellers and diners around the world on Tripadvisor over a 12-month period.”

Earlier this year the restaurant also won the Best Formal Italian Restaurant in Southeast Queensland at the 2022 Restaurant and Catering Awards, plus the Best Wine List in Queensland at the Australian Wine List of the Year Awards 2022.
