It was the most wonderful time of the year for thousands of people at Buderim Village Park on Sunday night, when they were in full voice at the Buderim Community Carols.

More than 5000 people attended the event, which was hosted by the Buderim War Memorial Community Association.

Carollers enjoyed classics such as Away In A Manger, Oh Come All Ye Faithful and Angels We Have Heard On High.

Performances were coordinated by Riley Cope Creative, MC was Rosanna Natoli from 7News Sunshine Coast and there was a visit by ‘Santa’ himself.

“Everyone had a great time at Buderim Village Park, which was full of families enjoying the beginning of the Christmas season,” the event’s media director Michelle Smytheman said.

There was a Buderim Rotary Sausage Sizzle, fairy floss from the Buderim Foundation and popcorn from the Buderim Mountain State School P&C.

“The weather gods were kind, with the rain holding off until the last carol was sung, with time for people to get to their cars,” Ms Smytheman said.

BWMCA Carols sub committee chair Andrew Butterworth thanked everyone involved in making the event such a huge success.
