It was established he had been trapped for several hours. He was helped down and arrested.

Entry had been gained to another room of the hotel via the roof where damage was caused to equipment and roof sheeting.

The 30-year-old North Booval man has been charged with break and enter and is due to appear before Maroochydore Magistrates Court on January 7.
