A long-running Sunshine Coast newsagency has been sold and the new owner plans to turn the building into three separate shops.

The Yandina newsagency was in operation for more than a decade at 2a Stevens St, in the heart of the town.

The 155sqm building, set on a 313sqm block, was sold for $480,000 after multiple offers.

The property received plenty of interest, with 46 enquiries from investors and owner-occupiers.

Ray White Commercial Noosa and Sunshine Coast North salesperson Chantel Dielwart said the building’s great location made it desirable for buyers.

“It has great exposure to the busy street,” she said.

The building is in the heart of Yandina.

“There’s side access to the rear of the shop providing staff parking, and ample customer parking on the street.

“It’s surrounded by high-profile businesses including a real estate agent, coffee shop, tattoo studio, picture framing shop, and the new Bar Deco, a Belgian beer and wine garden.”

The vendors have decided to move the newsagency to a new location.
