Finals fever is building across the Sunshine Coast, with footy and soccer competitions entering their biggest games of the season this month.
Football Queensland’s Sunshine Coast Grand Finals will kick off the finals action on Saturday, September 12, with junior and senior matches being played across Sunshine Coast Stadium and the Kawana Sports Precinct.
Championships will be decided from the U12/13 competitions through to FQPL 3 Men and Women, with matches scheduled from 8am to 10pm.
The Sunshine Coast Gympie Rugby League Grand Finals will follow at Sunshine Coast Stadium on Sunday, September 13, with five senior deciders scheduled across the day.
The U19s Men will kick off at 9.50am, with Caloundra taking on Noosa. The C Grade Men will follow at 11.30am, with Mary Valley facing Yandina. The Open Women’s final will be played at 1.10pm, with Caboolture taking on Kawana. The Reserve Grade Men’s final will start at 2.50pm, with Caboolture facing Caloundra.
The A Grade Men’s final will round out the day at 4.30pm, with Coolum taking on Caloundra.
The Sunshine Coast Falcons will then return to Sunshine Coast Stadium for a Hostplus Cup Preliminary Final on Saturday, September 19, after beating the Burleigh Bears in their Week 1 Qualifying Final.

The Falcons claimed the 2026 minor premiership and are now one win away from reaching the Hostplus Cup Grand Final for the first time since 2017. Kick-off is at 2.10pm.
The game will also be the Falcons’ last at Sunshine Coast Stadium before the venue closes for redevelopment, making it their final home game at the stadium for some time.
The Hostplus Cup season will reach its conclusion at the 2026 QRL Grand Final Day at Kayo Stadium in Redcliffe on Saturday, September 26.
The BMD Premiership Grand Final will be played at 2.05pm, followed by the Hostplus Cup Grand Final at 4.10pm, with gates opening at 1pm.
