A man in his 20s has been winched from Mount Coolum after suffering a lower-leg injury.
The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight helicopter was tasked by Retrieval Services Queensland at 11.25am yesterday to a walking track on the mountain.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics treated the patient on the scene, with Queensland Police Service officers and Queensland Fire Department firefighters also attending.
A LifeFlight rescue crew officer and critical care QAS flight paramedic were then winched down to the patient, who was lifted back into the helicopter.
The man was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
The helicopter was then tasked at 1.40pm to a rural area in the Gympie region after a motorcycle rider came off his bike during a motocross event.
The critical care LifeFlight doctor and QAS flight paramedic worked with local paramedics to treat the patient for chest and back injuries.
The man, in his 50s, was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
