Police will prepare a report for the Coroner after an elderly woman was struck by her own vehicle.

A Queensland Police Service spokesperson stated that police were “called to a shopping complex car park at Poinciana Avenue in Tewantin, following reports of a traffic crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle” at about 3.45pm on Tuesday.

“Initial investigations indicate the car, a white Volkswagen T-Cross, reversed over the driver, a 77-year-old woman.”

“No other vehicle or person was involved, and the woman was declared deceased at the scene.”
