A Sunshine Coast man has died following a single-vehicle traffic crash on the D’Aguilar Highway.

About 6.30am yesterday, emergency services responded to reports a white Range Rover had left the road and struck a tree on the highway at Wamuran.

The driver and sole occupant of the Range Rover, a 25-year-old Bli Bli man, was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.

He has since died from his injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Anyone with relevant vision of the area in the lead-up to the crash is urged to contact police.
