A pedestrian has died after being struck by a truck on a main Sunshine Coast road this morning.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident, which occurred about 6.45am at Glass House Mountains.

Police were called to reports of a pedestrian being struck by a truck on Steve Irwin Way, between Bowen Road and Reed Street.

The pedestrian, a man in his 60s, died at the scene.

The truck driver, a 63-year-old man, was not injured.

Investigations into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.

Witnesses, including anyone with relevant information or vision, is urged to contact police.
