A woman in her 40s has died after a car collided with a parked vehicle.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the crash, which occurred at Baringa about 6.50pm yesterday.

Initial investigations indicate a blue Mazda 3 was travelling along Edison Crescent when it collided with the parked vehicle.

The driver was treated by emergency services but was declared deceased at the scene.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has relevant dashcam footage to contact police.
