The finalists have been revealed for the Sunshine Coast Business Awards, after judges combed through a record-breaking number of entries.
There are 137 businesses shortlisted across 19 categories, from 264 nominations.
The winners will be announced at a gala celebration on November 8.
SCBA chair Jennifer Swaine said the calibre of finalists reflected the region’s growing reputation as a hub of innovation and enterprise.
“To see a record number of entries in our 30th year is incredibly special,” she said.
“These finalists represent the best of the Sunshine Coast’s business community – businesses that are innovating, growing, and making an impact locally and globally.
“Our awards have always been about more than a single night. They’re about recognising resilience, celebrating achievement and inspiring others across the region.”
This year’s program has refreshed categories including the introduction of Sustainability and a split of Health and Medical Services and Personal Fitness and Wellbeing, to reflect growth in these key sectors.
The rigorous judging process included written submissions and interviews with 26 volunteer judges, who donated hundreds of hours to assess entries across all categories.
Export, Sustainability and Business of the Year winners will be selected from category winners, and six businesses will also be inducted into the prestigious Hall of Fame.
Aquarian construction company Advanced Aquarium Technologies was acknowledged with the major gong at last year’s awards at the Sunshine Coast Convention Centre at Novotel Twin Waters.
