A man has been arrested after an alleged stolen truck was tracked more than 200km, with police deploying tyre spikes on the highway on the Sunshine Coast.
Police will allege the small pantech truck was stolen from Elizabeth Street in Brisbane at about 10.15am on Wednesday.
It was tracked north on the highway and police successfully deployed a tyre deflation device in the Sunshine Coast area.
The truck continued north through Tiaro before coming to a stop near Canterwood Road at Owanyilla, where the male driver was arrested at 1.53pm.
The 39-year-old Fortitude Valley man has been charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count each of dangerous driving, drive under the influence of liquor or a drug, evade and driving whilst suspended.
He will appear in the Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on Friday.
