The Sunshine Coast’s longest-running business awards have received the highest number of entries in the program’s 30-year history.

The milestone was reached on August 18 when entries closed for the Sunshine Coast Business Awards 2025.

A record 263 entries were received, topping the previous record set in 2023 with 250 entries, closely followed by 239 entries in 2024.

Entries were received across all categories, with particularly strong representation in trades and services, business services, retail, health and medical services, professional services, and building, construction and engineering. Growth across most other categories also underscored the diversity, innovation and resilience of the region’s business landscape.

Sunshine Coast Business Awards chair Jennifer Swaine said the record number of entries reflected the continued confidence and ambition of local businesses.

“This year’s response is a clear demonstration of the calibre of businesses choosing to call the Sunshine Coast home,” Ms Swaine said.

“To reach 263 entries in our 30th year is an incredible achievement and we’re proud to see such strong representation across industries.

“It’s a reminder that the Coast is not only a great place to live, but also a thriving hub for innovation, growth and opportunity.

“This outstanding result is only possible thanks to the commitment of our sponsors including this year’s naming right sponsor Coraggio. Their support ensures we can continue to deliver one of the region’s most prestigious programs, recognising and celebrating the remarkable achievements of local businesses.”

Judging is now underway and finalists will be announced September 18. The Sunshine Coast business community will come together to celebrate the winners at a gala dinner and awards ceremony on November 8.
