A plane has made an emergency landing at Sunshine Coast Airport following engine issues this morning.

An airport spokesperson said the pilot of the Link Airways Saab 340 successfully landed the aircraft about 8am and all on board had safely disembarked.

Between 20 and 30 patients were assessed, which included passengers and crew, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said.

One man in his 50s suffering chest pain was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

The incident resulted in some delays for travellers, with the airport saying normal operations had since resumed.

“Three flights were impacted and the airport returned to normal operations at 10.27am,” the airport spokesperson said.

A post to social media by the airport said: “Some delays to arrivals and departures may still occur. We recommend checking directly with your airline for the most up-to-date flight information.”
