A man has been taken to hospital in a serious condition after a crash on the Sunshine Motorway last night.
Police said initial investigations indicated two vehicles, traveling in opposite directions, collided at Marcoola about 7.20pm.
The driver and sole occupant of a white Mazda 121, a 42-year-old Pacific Paradise man, was transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
A 22-year-old man from Victoria man, who was the driver and sole occupant of a black SsangYong Musso, was not physically injured in the crash.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and anyone with information is urged to contact police.
The Queensland Ambulance Service reported that multiple paramedics attended the scene.
Meanwhile, two patients were assessed and transported in stable conditions to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after a vehicle struck a fence and a pedestrian at Buderim at 6.53pm.
