A woman has died following a single-vehicle traffic crash west of the Sunshine Coast yesterday.

About 4.50pm, police and emergency services were called to Sandy Creek Road at Sandy Creek, north of Kilcoy, following reports a white Toyota LandCruiser travelling northbound had crashed into a tree.

The driver, a 35-year-old woman from Sandy Creek, died at the scene.

A two-year-old girl sustained a minor injury and a two-year-old girl sustained a serious but non-life-threatening injury. Both girls were transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for treatment.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and is appealing for anyone with information or relevant vision of the crash to contact police.
