A Sunshine Coast woman’s regular morning commute took an unexpected turn when she was told she had won $1 million.
The motorist was in traffic at Mooloolaba when she received a phone call that she had won Weekday Windfall draw 4570, drawn on Wednesday.
“I’m just stuck in traffic. I’m going to have to pull over,” she told The Lott official.
“Far out, you’re joking. I’m shocked. Oh my God.
“I don’t believe it. I’m sorry, I’m completely lost for words.”

She was the only division one winner in Australia.
“I have played for years and years and never thought this would ever happen to me,” she said.
“I’m trying to process it and I can’t.
“It’s going to be hard to concentrate at work today.”

The winner outlined her plans for the prize.
“I’d have to sit down and have a long think about what I’ll do with the prize but maybe I can look to pay off the mortgage and go on a holiday,” she said.
Her 12-game entry was purchased at Yandina Newsagency.
The winning numbers were 14, 37, 42, 32, 7 and 22, while the supplementary numbers were 13 and 41.
