A Sunshine Coast woman is laughing all the way to the bank after winning $200,000 in a lotto game.

The Peregian Beach resident was successful in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1704, drawn on Wednesday, June 11.

She was blindsided when an official from the The Lott revealed her prize.

“It’s such wonderful news,” she said.

“I didn’t even know there was a Lucky Lotteries draw (on that day).

“It was very unexpected news and I haven’t stopped laughing since.”

She said she was initially in disbelief.

“When I first saw I had a missed email from The Lott, I thought it was a scam,” she said.

“It wasn’t until I logged into my online account and checked my ticket that I saw the win.

“I yelled out to my husband and told him to sit down.

“I said: ‘you have to take a look at this’. We both shed a few tears.”

She said she would toast the win and put the money to good use.

“I think I might have to have a little bubbly. It would be rude not to celebrate,” she said.

“It’s going to help us so much.

“It will go a long way towards our mortgage.”

Her winning entry of four consecutive numbers was purchased on The Lott website.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.
