A 76-year-old woman who went missing in Noosa National Park has been located safe and well.

Police issued a plea for public assistance on Sunday to help locate Patricia Lascelles, who was last seen at a Lake Weyba Drive address at Noosaville about 11.30am that day.

They said investigations indicated she may have been in the Noosa National Park area about 5pm.

Her daughter Amy posted to social media on Sunday night asking for people to help with the search.

“My mum is still missing. Please share. She has dementia and will be very disoriented. Thank you to everyone who is helping and sending love,” she wrote.

But about 8am this morning her daughter posted again to share the happy news.
