New ‘interactive and hyperactive’ night markets are on their way to the Sunshine Coast.

The Kawana Night Markets will be held at Coopers Lookout, next to the Kawana Surf Club on Pacific Boulevard, on the fourth Friday of each month.

The first edition will be held on Friday, January 24, from 4pm until 8pm.

The event is an initiative of the Kawana Chamber of Commerce and presented in conjunction with Sunshine Coast Music and Events.

Kawana Chamber of Commerce secretary Samuel Stolberg expected the event to be popular.

“The Kawana Chamber of Commerce is very excited for the launch of the new twilight markets located right next to the beautiful location of the Kawana Surf Club,” he told Sunshine Coast News.

“Sunshine Coast Music and Events have a fantastic track record of organising great events across the wider Sunshine Coast and it is a privilege to be able to partner up with them to help bring these markets to life.”

Sunshine Coast Music and Events issued a media release heralding the arrival of the markets.
