Civil works have been completed and homes are about to be built at a residential development that has attracted significant interest from buyers.

Construction will soon start at Highpoint Residences at Caloundra, where 18 of 23 sites have been sold for a total of $11.4 million in 12 weeks.

Long-term local developer Devcon is behind the project. Sales director Peter Latham said he was thrilled with the response and he was confident the remaining lots would be snapped up quickly.

“Most of our current buyers have been locals who have expressed a desire to build their dream home on a large, premium block of land in a boutique location which is surrounded by the leafy Chamberlain Reserve in Little Mountain and just a few minutes away from Caloundra’s stunning beaches,” he said.

“It’s very hard to find large, flat lots of the size nestled in a leafy estate and so close to a beach as well as shops, schools and sporting facilities on the Sunshine Coast.

“Buyers have either selected their own builder or they have chosen from one of our many designs which would be ideal for this location.

The estate is in a convenient location.

“The team at SE Civil have done an incredible job completing all the onsite water and sewer as well as roads, lights, footpaths and landscaping to a point where builders are now in a position to commence construction.”

Local builder Brad Osborne, from Osborne Family Builders, was quick to buy one of the lots and he plans to build a two-level home with a forest outlook.

“Building within large masterplanned communities doesn’t really appeal to me or the homes I build,” he said.

“I prefer boutique developments like Highpoint Residences which is a smaller, elevated development offering large lots as well as (offering) easy access to local amenities and surrounded by natural bushland.

The groundwork has been done at Highpoint.

“There’s nothing else quite like it on the Sunshine Coast and I am not surprised that lots have sold so quickly in such a short time frame.

“Our team will be on site within the next few weeks to commence building now that the civil works are completed.”

Highpoint Residences is beside Chamberlain Reserve and within easy walking distance to parks, picnic spots, bike paths and dog friendly areas as well local schools and beaches, manicured parks and nature reserves.

Caloundra’s Bulcock Beach is a short drive away, where residents can enjoy a wide selection of bars, beachfront cafés and eateries, boutique shopping venues and entertainment options.

Highpoint Residences is located on the corner of Bellvista Boulevard and Old Caloundra Road at Little Mountain with the remaining lots in size from 400sqm at $599,500.

Eghteen of the 23 lots have been sold.
