Saturday, June 22, 7.15am: Police have charged a 49-year-old man in relation to an alleged wounding incident in Gympie last night.
It will be alleged that about 6.20pm, an altercation occurred at a Lawrence Street property between two men who are known to each other.
A short time later, a 50-year-old man was allegedly stabbed.
He sustained serious injuries and was transported to Gympie Hospital before being airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
The Queensland Ambulance Service reported the man had life-threatening injuries.
A 49-year-old Gympie man was taken into custody at the scene and charged with one count of grievous bodily harm.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Maroochydore Magistrates Court today, June 22.
Investigators are appealing anyone with information to come forward.
Saturday, June 22, 7.15am: Paramedics attended a house fire on Wrigley Street, Maroochydore, at 7.43pm last night. Three patients were assessed but all declined transportation to hospital.
Friday, June 21, 4.30pm: A bushfire warning has been cancelled for Marcus Beach, Doonan, Mudjimba, and Peregian Beach. Fire conditions have eased. Crews are no longer required on scene at this incident. There were multiple hazard reduction burns undertaken.
Friday, June 21, 11.30am: One stable patient was transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a vehicle fire at Glass House Mountains. Paramedics attended the scene of a vehicle crash on Johnston Road at 9.12am.
Friday, June 21, 10.10am: Bushfire warnings, at an advice level to avoid smoke, were issued for parts of the Sunshine Coast at 8.59am.
Smoke was this morning expected to affect Marcus Beach, Doonan, Mudjimba, Peregian Beach and surrounding areas, from multiple hazard reduction burns. These fires are under control. Smoke was also expected to affect Pomona and surrounding areas. This is from a hazard reduction burn near Jampot Creek Road, Pomona. This fire is under control.
Friday, June 21, 8.45am: Eleven people have been injured in accidents earlier this morning on the Bruce Highway in the Roys Road and Coochin Creek areas which closed north and southbound lanes. Most suffered only minor injuries but one woman has been airlifted to hospital in Brisbane.
Friday, June 21, 7.45am: The Bruce Highway is closed in both directions through Coochin Creek due to two separate traffic crashes in the northbound and southbound lanes. Diversions are in place via Roys Road and Steve Irwin Way. Motorists are urged to avoid the area. A vehicle and motorcycle crash was reported on the Bruce Highway northbound at 6.43am. Another multiple vehicle crash in the southbound lanes was also reported. Multiple paramedics units were on the scene.
Friday: June 21, 7.05am:Â Two patients were assessed by paramedics after a vehicle rollover on the Sunshine Motorway south bound at Mountain Creek at 8.17pm last night. They both declined QAS transport to hospital.
Friday, June 21, 6.25am: After more than two weeks of fine weather, the Sunshine Coast could get a shower or two this weekend. There’s a high chance of showers of showers on Saturday (70 per cent, 0 to 4mm) and a medium chance on Sunday (50 per cent, 0 to 1mm). Temperatures should range between 9 to 21 degrees Celsius, with just light winds.
Thursday, June 20, 9.20am: The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service is conducting planned burns in the region today and tomorrow, weather permitting.
The burns will be in the Coolum section of Noosa National Park and at Mapleton National Park around the Cooloolabin Dam area. Smoke may be seen in the nearby areas.
Wednesday, June 19, 11.55am: A 5.5-hectare section of Doonan Creek Environment Reserve will undergo a planned burn tomorrow, weather permitting, between 9am and 6pm as part of Sunshine Coast Council’s Bushfire Management Program.

Tuesday, June 18, 5.45pm: A patient was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with what the Queensland Ambulance Service called “potentially life-threatening injuries” following a vehicle and pedestrian incident on Nicklin Way, Minyama, about 2.30pm. Traffic in the area was severely affected, with southbound lanes closed.

Tuesday, June 18, 11.50am: A stable patient with a head injury was transported to Nambour Hospital following an incident with a horse at Merrypark Equestrian Centre, Eumundi, at 10.18am.
Tuesday, June 18, 6.15am: A female patient in her 60s with facial injuries was transported in a stable condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after a fall at the Coolum Eco Industrial Park at 7.15pm last night.

Monday, June 17, 1.55pm: One stable patient with neck pain was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a single-vehicle rollover on the corner of Doonan Road and Regency Road at Doonan at 12.44pm. Doonan Road near Regency Road was closed and local diversions were put in place, with motorists urged to avoid the area.

Saturday, June 15, 10.40am: Paramedics attended a single-vehicle crash into parked cars reported on King Street at Buderim at 11.43pm. Three patients in stable conditions with non-life-threatening injuries were transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
