A forthcoming food and beverage manufacturing complex has attracted the attention of international businesses.
Expressions of interest from potential tenants are being welcomed for the multimillion-dollar Turbine Precinct, ahead of its construction, which will start within three to six months.
CEO and project manager Andrew Eves-Brown said it would enable small to medium enterprises to innovate, scale and access export opportunities.
“Turbine is set to become Australia’s leading industry-based food and beverage research, education and commercialisation facility,” he said.
“It will become the blueprint for collaborative manufacturing and is already attracting significant interest nationally and internationally with food and beverage manufacturers keen to leverage our capabilities and shared services.”
He said tenants would have a range of benefits.
“A total area of up to 9100sqm is available for lease for food and beverage production,” he said.
“This area is available for manufacturing activities and is supported by a number of shared services such as steam, refrigeration and waste water treatment.
“In addition, tenancy sizes can be negotiated, subject to availability, and we are offering financial support for fitout and equipment.
“Tenants will also have access to a collaborative industry-led R and D (research and development) centre and warehousing.”
Floor space of 2100sqm has been allocated for smaller tenancies, initially set at 300sqm each. Up to 7000sqm has been allocated for larger partnership tenants.

Tenancies are expected to be available for occupancy from mid-2025, with possible early access for tenant fit-out works.
The EOI will close on Friday, May 24.
The Turbine Precinct has been billed as “a pioneering endeavor in the realm of high-tech manufacturing, propelled by industry leadership”.
“Its core mission is to foster collaboration, innovation, and scalability among small and medium-sized enterprises in the food and beverage sector, propelling the industry forward collectively,” a media release stated.
The project has received grant funding from the federal government as part of the Modern Manufacturing Strategy.
The 30,321sqm site, which is owned by the state government, is at Corbould Park.
