A celebrated artist is selling her Coast home – and, as you’d expect, it’s a stunning fusion of design and art.

Award-winning photographer Robyn Hills has exhibited her works in galleries in New York, Paris and Tokyo, and runs her Robyn Hills Photography business out of Caloundra.

The focal point of her Wurtulla duplex, which is being sold through Next Property Group’s Richard Scrivener and Loren Wimhurst, is a photograph of a pandanus tree that dominates the front facade.

Artist Robyn Hills in front of the photo and her duplex.

She said the decision to use the pandanus photo was integral to the building’s aesthetics.

“The pandanus tree holds cultural significance in many coastal communities, symbolising resilience, adaptability and a deep connection to the land,” she said.

“The decision to feature this iconic plant in the design reflects a thoughtful integration of local culture and natural elements into the fabric of the building.”

Located between Nicklin Way and the beach, 1/14 Orringa Street is spread over two levels and has three bedrooms upstairs plus an office or fourth bedroom downstairs, as well as three bathrooms and two car spaces.

Art adorns much of the home.

The duplex is in the highly sought-after new Bokarina Beach precinct, and was designed with sustainability and innovation in mind.

“The architecture incorporates eco-friendly materials, energy-efficient systems and a design that maximises natural light and ventilation,” Ms Hills said.

The newly finished property was built with a premium level of construction with a team of engineers and designers engaged to bring Ms Hills’ vision to reality.

The kitchen, butler’s pantry and dining area spill out onto an alfresco living space that sits beside the inground pool.

The property has many designer touches.

The property also contains a separate powder room downstairs and a second living area upstairs.

It is priced in the high $1 million range.
