The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a serious single-vehicle traffic crash at Nambour last night.

Emergency services were called to the corner of Lamington Terrace and Panorama Drive just after 6.30pm following reports a grey 2005 Mazda3 had rolled.

Upon arrival, a two-year-old boy was located with life-threatening injuries and was flown to Brisbane for treatment.

The driver, a 26-year-old Woombye woman, is currently assisting police with investigations.

Witnesses or anyone who may have seen the vehicle in the Nambour area just prior to the crash is urged to contact police.

RACQ LifeFlight Rescue confirmed a toddler was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition following the rollover.

It said the boy suffered multiple injuries. He was first treated at the scene by Queensland Ambulance Service officers, who determined he needed urgent medical treatment in Brisbane.

The child was transported to the waiting rescue chopper and flown to the Queensland Children’s Hospital under the care of the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue critical care doctor and QAS flight paramedic.
