DogFest
The ultimate day out for pooches and their paw-rents is coming to the Sunshine Coast. DogFest is set to be a canine wonderland, complete with food trucks, dog-friendly stallholders, live entertainment, training demonstrations and workshops. DogFest aims to ensure more pups in our region are trained to avoid harming wildlife.

Martini Spring Roadshow
During the next two weekends, Sunshine Coast locals can enjoy espresso martinis in a cocktail garden at either the Coolum Beach Hotel or Kawana Waters Hotel as the pubs kick off the National Martini Spring Roadshow. Popping up at eight venues across the country over two months, Coolum Beach Hotel and Kawana Waters Hotel are the first two stops on the tour, as the cocktail truck serves up Grey Goose espresso martinis in the pubs’ al fresco areas at a great price for everyone to enjoy.
When: Friday, October 20, to Sunday, October 22, and Friday, October 27, to Sunday, October 29.

DMA’S
With a highly anticipated fourth album How Many Dreams? released earlier this year, multi-Platinum and critically acclaimed Sydney trio DMA’S is thrilled to be kicking off its biggest headline tour of Australia so far with 16 huge shows. DMA’S is popping into the Sunshine Coast for one night only, so don’t miss this opportunity to see this huge festival headliner in an intimate setting.

Peachester Heritage Centre
The Peachester Heritage Centre tells the story of the pioneering families of the district. The museum is home to the Jim Hall Whittling Collection and an ANZAC gallery. It has tributes to the timber and dairy industries and the sport of woodchopping. Open days are held on the fourth Sunday of each month.
When: Sunday, October 22, 10am to 2pm.

Rewired
Learning about good-mood food, hearing from inspirational speakers and doing mind and body-boosting exercise will be the highlights of an uplifting event for young people on the Sunshine Coast. The Rewired: Youth-led Mental Health Day, is being organised by the University of the Sunshine Coast’s Thompson Institute in partnership with Sunshine Coast Council. Young people, aged 16 to 25, are invited to take part.

Sunshine On Terri
Centacare’s inclusive theatre ensemble Passage is staging Sunshine On Terri, its reinterpretation of the seminal Wizard Of Oz through a journey of local landmarks. Follow the story of a young Caloundra woman, Terri, in search of her identity in this heart-filling and joyful ensemble comedy.
When: Saturday, October 21, 3pm.

The Shake-speare Project
It is 400 years ago this month that the works of Shakespeare were first published. And there’s been 400 years of conjecture about who actually wrote the 36 comedies, tragedies and histories published in the First Folio. All the questions will be unravelled in a new play by local writer/actor/director Andrew Robjohns.
When: Saturday, October 21 and 28, at 7pm, and Sunday, October 22 and 29, at 4pm.
