As the Sunshine Coast’s central business district continues to emerge, a community combining inner-city and coastal lifestyle is fast becoming the residential hub for the milestone development.

Over the past 10 years Sunshine Cove has melded within the existing and expanding Maroochydore framework.

Sunshine Cove Realty’s Penny Service said that once complete, the estate would be within walking distance of the CBD, which will eventually become the ‘beating heart’ of the region.

Drawing parallels between the CBD and Sunshine Cove’s ethos for community, Ms Service said they would complement each other as the region continues to evolve.

“What sets the new Maroochydore city centre apart is location and its sense of community, much like Sunshine Cove,” she said.

“The (CBD) has been designed for the 21st century and … is focusing on the ethos of Maroochydore being shaped by the people who inhabit it.

“The site really does sit in the heart of Maroochydore and provides the infrastructure to connect the retail hub of Sunshine Plaza, the transport corridor of Aerodrome Road and the bustling, vibrant residential enclaves around.”

Sunshine Cove extends around a sprawling lake.

The Sunshine Cove community is a 106-hectare greenfill site on land that used to form part of Wises Farm.

The last remaining blocks of land are now for sale, and will complete the development’s 11 precincts comprising residential, commercial, community and outdoor spaces.

Ms Service said residents were already benefitting from infrastructure upgrades across Maroochydore and further afield, with this expected to continue.

“Residents can walk to Sunshine Plaza, (with) other keystone shopping precincts including the Sunshine Coast Homemaker Centre and the Big Top Shopping Centre also close by.

“Families are well catered for at Sunshine Cove with exceptional schooling options, including University of the Sunshine Coast, located nearby.

“A myriad of highly regarded schools in both the public and private sector, from Prep through to Year 12, are located within a 10km radius.”

Ms Service said Sunshine Cove was also close to community facilities, with hospitals at Birtinya and Nambour within a 15-minute drive.

Sunshine Cove will also be within easy access to the proposed Direct Sunshine Coast Rail Line, which has a station earmarked for within the city centre.

Sunshine Cove includes waterfront blocks.

With stage three of the Lancelin Precinct selling, Ms Service said now was the opportunity to secure a slice of what the Sunshine Cove lifestyle had to offer.

The remaining allotments feature an array of urban and terrace lots, plus waterfront blocks that include sweeping lake vistas.

“With generous allotment sizes at Sunshine Cove, you have the scope to design and build your dream coastal lifestyle home,” she said.

“You’re still within walking distance of the Plaza, SunCentral and all the excitement and entertainment that city life has to offer.

“Our meandering boardwalks and lake are also on your doorstep.

“Featuring some of our most striking homes, Lancelin is creating a stunning finale to our award-winning development.

“Adding to its exclusivity and privacy, your new home in the Lancelin enclave will only be accessible only by the Cheyenne Way vehicle and pedestrian bridge.”

First unveiled in 2004 by Chardan Development Group, once complete the award-winning development will have 11 precincts and be home to 6000 residents.
