Police have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with an investigation into the alleged assault of two security guards at a licensed venue.

The incident happened at Noosa Heads about 2.36am on October 10, after security removed a man from a venue on Noosa Drive, near Sunshine Beach Road.

Police said initial inquiries indicated the man then attempted to re-enter the venue.

When security stopped him, he allegedly punched a male security guard in the face and pushed a female security guard down a set of stairs before fleeing.

A 27-year-old Pacific Paradise man suffered a minor facial injury, while a 60-year-old Kin Kin woman was uninjured.

Police have urged the man pictured, or anyone who recognises him, to come forward as investigations continue.
