Four new penthouses in the heart of the Sunshine Coast’s rapidly developing CBD have been released to the market.

SOL by Walker has added a new single-level penthouse option to its luxury residential offering at 9 South Sea Islander Way, Maroochydore.

The four residences are on level 17 of the second tower and offer three- and four-bedroom layouts, expansive living and entertaining zones, large balconies and premium finishes.

The new single-level residences add to SOL’s dual-level penthouses, which are located in tower one and span levels 17 and 18.

Together, the two offerings form The Penthouse Collection at SOL, which is taking shape in the heart of Maroochydore City Centre.

The 248-residence development will include apartments, terrace homes and penthouses.

Residents will have access to a 20m pool, gym, spa, cold plunge, sauna and steam room. Workplaces, restaurants, cafes and shopping are close by in the emerging city centre precinct.

Walker Corporation group executive of development Peter Saba said the new homes were designed with entertaining and flexible living in mind.

“The penthouse collection offers generous living areas, large balconies and views across the Coast or hinterland, so there’s plenty of room to entertain and have family and friends over,” Mr Saba said.

The three-bedroom penthouses each include a multipurpose room and two-and-a-half bathrooms; while the four-bedroom residences feature three-and-a-half bathrooms. The package includes two or three car spaces, with the allocation to be confirmed for each floor plan.

Mr Saba said: “The multipurpose room gives buyers more flexibility to tailor a space that works for their lifestyle, whether that’s a home office, guest bedroom or another living area”.

The collection was designed by award-winning studio Mim Design. Interiors incorporate natural materials including limestone, terracotta marble, Onde Rossa marble and Verde Atlantis marble, alongside Miele and Sub-Zero appliances.

Mim Design founder Miriam Fanning said: “Our approach aimed to capture the essence of the Sunshine Coast and enviable ease of coastal life”.

“The material palette draws from the changing tones of the landscape, layered with brushed metals, textured ceramic tiles and natural timber that create a sense of warmth and permanence,” she said.

Mr Saba said the project reflected the continued growth of Maroochydore as a major urban centre.

“Maroochydore city centre is giving the Sunshine Coast room to grow, with homes, workplaces and services planned together,” he said.

“Walker and our partners at Sunshine Coast Council are providing a range of housing options, helping people build their lives here, from young locals wanting to stay close to where they grew up or long-time residents ready to downsize without leaving their community.”

Both towers are under construction, with tower one due for completion in late 2027 and tower two, including the new single-level penthouses, scheduled for early 2028.

Once complete, SOL by Walker will be the Sunshine Coast’s tallest residential tower.
