A young woman will face trial accused of murder after the husband of a skincare company founder was fatally stabbed during a home invasion.

Kieysha Jade Sky, 19, faced Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Wednesday for a committal hearing on a charge of murder as well as vehicle theft and home break-in charges.

Zdravko Bilic, husband of HUD Skin + Body Melbourne skincare company founder Gry Tomte, was found dead in the front yard of his home at Warana on July 14, 2025.

Ms Tomte attended the courthouse but remained outside the courtroom as the committal hearing got underway.

The prosecutor handed numerous statements and five large folders of exhibits to Magistrate Andrew Sinclair.

Sky’s defence barrister David Jones KC cross-examined four witnesses, including two neighbours who said they heard shouting and saw a car speeding away from near Mr Billic’s home in the minutes after he was allegedly murdered.

Mr Jones did not make further submissions on why Sky should not stand trial.

“I concede there is a prima facie case,” he said.

Mr Sinclair ordered Sky face trial at Brisbane Supreme Court on a date to be determined.

Sky said “no” when asked if she wished to enter a plea or say anything in response.

She appeared in the dock wearing a prison issue long-sleeve green shirt and blue tracksuit pants.

She waved and smiled to five supporters in court.

Police alleged Mr Bilic was stabbed twice after disturbing a break-in about 11.30pm on July 13, about 20 hours before his body was found.

Ms Tomte was not home at the time and had asked a neighbour to check on her husband after she had not heard from him.

“To have known a love like Zed and I had is such a privilege and I’m forever grateful,” she later said of her relationship.

“28 years. I was wishing for so many more.”

Two boys aged 15 and 17 at the time have also been charged with Mr Bilic’s murder.

Days after police charged the juvenile co-accused with his killing, Sky was arrested on Tuesday at Toowoomba, nearly three hours’ drive from the alleged murder scene.

Sky’s two co-accused were the second and third children charged with murder under Queensland’s new “adult crime, adult time” laws and face mandatory life sentences if convicted.

Sky was remanded in custody and her case was ordered to return to court on December 9.
