A section of Eumundi-Kenilworth Road has been closed after a truck carrying logs rolled over in the Sunshine Coast hinterland this morning.

Emergency services were called to the incident at Belli Park about 8.20am after the loaded truck overturned between the intersections of Skyring Creek Road and Paddy Melon Lane.

Queensland Police issued a traffic alert at 9.15am advising the road was closed while emergency crews responded to the incident. The traffic message remained in place as of 10am.

Despite the rollover, the truck driver escaped without injury.

Motorists were urged to avoid the area if possible and expect delays while crews work to recover the vehicle and clear the roadway.
