Police are appealing for information after a 20-year-old Buderim man was wounded at Maroochydore on Thursday night.

Emergency services were called to Duporth Avenue about 10.20pm following reports the man had been stabbed.

He was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police conducted patrols in the area after the incident but were unable to locate the alleged offender, who is believed to be a woman.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident and efforts to locate the woman are continuing.

Police are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage from the Duporth Avenue area between 10.10pm and 10.40pm on June 11 to come forward.
