Twilight markets featuring food trucks, local produce and live entertainment are set to return to a booming area of the Sunshine Coast.

The Aura Fresh Twilight Markets will re-launch on Friday, June 5, and will be held on the first Friday of every month from 4pm to 8pm.

The revitalised event, presented by the Caloundra Chamber of Commerce market team, will include a Chamber Craft Bar with local brews from Moffat Beach Brewing Co, Brouhaha Brewery and Your Mates Brewing Co.

Visitors can look forward to a line-up of the region’s favourite food trucks, fresh produce stalls, a curated selection of artisan vendors, family-friendly kids’ activities and live entertainment.

Chamber president Mike Shadforth said the return of the markets was an opportunity to strengthen community connection while supporting local businesses and producers.

“(It) is about bringing people together and celebrating everything that makes our local community special,” he said.

“These markets create an incredible platform to support small business and for local food vendors, artisans, entertainers and families to connect in a relaxed and vibrant environment.”

Baringa has been earmarked as one of Australia's Hot 100 suburbs.
Aura is a rapidly-growing master planned community on the Sunshine Coast.

Stockland Aura development director Josh Sondergeld said the return of the markets reflected the community.

“They (the markets) create a welcoming space for residents and visitors to come together, enjoy local food and entertainment, and connect with the people and businesses that make the Sunshine Coast unique.

“We’re delighted to see the markets return as a regular event and continue to grow as part of the Aura community,” he said.

Caloundra Chamber of Commerce commercial manager Dan Vinson is leading the delivery of the refreshed market concept.

He said the event was designed to create an ongoing community experience.

“We’re excited to bring the Aura Fresh Twilight Markets back as a regular monthly event that locals can genuinely look forward to,” he said.

“It’s about supporting local businesses, creating activation within the community and delivering a fun, family-friendly atmosphere for everyone.”
