Multiple emergency services personnel have been called to the Glass House Mountains to assist two people who became stranded overnight.

The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) reported that paramedics were tasked about 1am this morning to assist the pair on Mount Tibrogargan.

A spokesperson for the Queensland Fire Department (QFD) said the first rescue group reached the climbers about 1.30am.

It is understood the pair went up the mountain about 4pm yesterday but were unable to get back down in the dark after leaving it too late to descend.

Emergency crews helped the duo abseil off the mountain once daylight broke this morning. They were able to walk out and were left in the care of paramedics about 7.40am.

The spokesperson said two tech rescue crews, multiple mountain rescue crews and a senior officer attended, with a QFD urban pumper truck and drones also in assistance.

A QAS spokesperson said the pair was uninjured and declined ambulance transport.
