A report will be prepared for the coroner following the sudden death of a teenage girl at Moffat Beach last night.

Emergency services were called about 6.40pm following reports a 17-year-old girl had fallen from a cliff.

Police assisted in locating the girl who sustained critical injuries and was sadly declared dead at the scene.

The Queensland Ambulance Service reported that paramedics attended to reports that a person that had fallen off a lookout on Queen of Colonies Parade at 6.42pm.

A second woman sustained a minor injury prior to the arrival of emergency services while attempting to provide assistance.
