One of Coolum Beach’s biggest and most private residential estates has been listed for sale, with significant interest already coming from across Australia and overseas.

The 10-acre property at 85 Arcoona Road — along with its 620sqm residence — has been brought to market by Phil Wood, principal agent and director of WOODS Property Agents, who said it stands apart from anything else in the area.

“At 10-acres, 85 Arcoona Rd is one of the largest residential blocks in Coolum Beach, and at 620sqm under the roof is one of the largest homes too,” Mr Wood said.

“The property is also completely private and peaceful — being surrounded by forest.”

The estate is owned by Coolum locals, who are the former managers of Clubb Coolum Beach Resort.

The property is located just minutes from Coolum’s pristine beaches, schools, and cafes.

They purchased the land 15 years ago after an unexpected discovery of a rare, expansive acreage just minutes from the beach.

“They bought the land, designed and built the home in the style of a traditional English property — as they both come from the North East of England originally,” Mr Wood said.

Interest in the property has been immediate and widespread.

“Buyer interest has been from all over Australia, buyers have already flown in from Sydney, Tasmania and Melbourne to view in person,” he said.

“We even had a call from expats living in Abu Dhabi who are looking to return home. Prize home companies have also viewed the property.”

Buyer activity has already placed the home in strong contention, Mr Wood added, noting that the combination of privacy, space and proximity to beaches is driving demand.

The huge cinema room offers a space for family movie nights.

He said such properties are becoming increasingly rare.

“The growing number of higher density developments, subdivisions and increasing land values in premium beachside suburbs makes property like this an increasingly rare commodity from a bygone era,” Mr Wood said.

“The Coast’s truly unique properties around Coolum Beach are generally tightly held by owners, and rarely come to market. This is a rare opportunity to purchase something truly unique.”
