A man has been taken to hospital following a fire aboard a trawler at Mooloolaba early this morning.

Emergency services were called to Parkyn Parade at 6.19am after reports a vessel was on fire while docked at the marina.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesperson said three crews and a senior officer arrived about 6.30am to find the trawler alight but contained to the one vessel.

QAS paramedics treated a man in his 50s found on board for smoke inhalation before taking him in a stable condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

Two other men, both in their 40s, were assessed at the scene but were found to be uninjured and did not require hospitalisation.

The fire was extinguished by 7am and did not spread to nearby boats.

A fire investigator will attend the scene today to determine the cause.
