A residential precinct built on land with a 100-year farming history is growing into a new era connecting communities.

Sunshine Cove is currently home to more than 2000 residents, with almost 950 properties built since construction first began in 2006.

Located in the “heart” of the Sunshine Coast on a 106-hectare greenfield site that used to form part of Wises Farm, Sunshine Cove is often referred to as the “Coast’s best-kept secret”.

Sunshine Cove Realty’s Penny Service said Sunshine Cove’s proximity to local schools, shopping centres, restaurants, medical services, gyms and the growing Maroochydore city centre made it a desirable place to live.

“I think we’ve all heard ‘location, location, location’ when it comes to property. The Sunshine Cove community is literally in the heart of Maroochydore,” Ms Service said.

“It’s one of the Coast’s best-kept secrets while being one of the Coast’s most desirable places to live.

The final blocks of freehold land are now selling at Sunshine Cove.

“Visitors and locals alike drive past the stunning views of the lake every time they come off Sunshine Motorway and drive down Maroochy Boulevard.

“Our parks are often full of people celebrating with family and friends, or they’re enjoying an early morning walk along the lake before work.

“It’s such a great sight, and is what community facilities are all about.”

Ms Service said a network of parks, pathways and boardwalks wrap themselves throughout the estate and along the lake’s edge.

“We’ve tried to make it walkable from anywhere in the development,” she said.

“It’s all interconnected and you always see people enjoying the facilities here.

“You can walk along the water or through parks and landscaped footpaths.

“There are so many different routes to take and so many parks to enjoy.”

Close to the emerging Maroochydore city centre, Ms Service said Sunshine Cove offered inner-city living that reflected the relaxed Coast lifestyle.

“Despite being in the bustling heart of Maroochydore, so many people remark on how surprised they are at how quiet the community is,” she said.

“You close your door and you leave behind the noise of the world, and focus on spending quality time with family and friends.

Stage 3 in the Lancelin Precinct offers a mix of allotments.

We haven’t lost the charm of a quiet suburb – neighbours wave at each other.

“The focus at Sunshine Cove is building your dream home. There’s a mix of style and builders and I think that’s really helped us attract new people to our growing community.

“Our location means you can basically be anywhere on the Coast within 10 to 15 minutes. You can walk to the plaza, catch a bus to the beach, or be at Sunshine Coast university in no time at all.”

The final blocks of freehold land are now available for sale and Ms Service said this was the opportunity to secure a slice of what the Sunshine Cove lifestyle had to offer.

The allotments are part of stage three of the Lancelin Precinct and feature an array of “dry” terrace lots, plus waterfront blocks that include sweeping lake vistas and access to the water’s edge.

The land currently available for sale at Sunshine Cove is freehold and you can work with any builder you choose to build your dream home,” Ms Service said.
