A man has been flown to hospital after being involved in a forklift incident.

The man was taken to hospital, by the Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew, in a life-threatening condition after the incident at Imbil.

It is believed he was servicing the forklift when it overturned and trapped him.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked by Retrieval Services Queensland at 10.29am and landed in a paddock near the scene.

A critical care LifeFlight doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service flight paramedic worked with local paramedics to treat the patient for head and chest injuries.

The man was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital for further treatment.
