A family-owned gourmet ice cream manufacturer, which plans to expand nationally, has chosen to base its operations on the Sunshine Coast.

Mammino Gourmet Ice Cream has officially opened its new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at 33 Lenco Crescent, Landsborough.

The brand was founded by Anthony and Teena Mammino in Childers. The move to the Sunshine Coast marks a significant milestone in the company’s strategic plan for national growth and enhanced operational sustainability.

The award-winning manufacturer is renowned for its traditional, air-free ice cream crafted from locally sourced ingredients.

Mammino Foods Pty Ltd, which acquired the Mammino Gourmet Ice Cream brand, initiated the relocation to Landsborough to address logistical challenges and secure access to a skilled workforce.

The new facility offers improved access to key local suppliers including regional dairies, ginger factories, tropical fruit suppliers and certified farmers, which will boost production efficiency and reduce the company’s carbon footprint.

Director of marketing Laiju Devassy said the new Landsborough facility was the foundation for the company’s national expansion.

“We are committed to bringing Mammino’s handcrafted, air-free ice creams to new markets in New South Wales and Victoria while maintaining the artisanal quality that defines our brand,” Mr Devassy said.

He said the company also planned to invest in specialised Italian equipment to further enhance production standards.
