A man has died almost two weeks after a two-vehicle crash on the Sunshine Motorway.

The 42-year-old from Pacific Paradise died from his injuries on August 16, following the crash in Marcoola on August 5.

The man was the sole occupant of a white Mazda 121 that collided with a black SsangYong Musso travelling in the opposite direction about 7.20pm.

The man was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a critical condition but has since passed away.

A 22-year-old Victoria man, who was the sole occupant of the SsangYong, was not physically injured in the crash.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations are ongoing. Anyone with information or relevant vision are urged to contact police.
