Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision involving a cyclist and a an e-bike user.

The Queensland Police Service stated that initial investigations indicated that a 62-year-old woman was riding her bike along a path near Cordyline Place and Heliconia Street in Mountain Creek on Thursday at about 2pm, when a male travelling in the opposite direction on an e-bike crashed into her.

The woman sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash has urged to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
