Vision has been released by police of two people who may be able to assist with their investigation after a fire extinguisher was discharged into a vehicle at Sippy Downs on the weekend.

It is believed two unknown people riding an e-bike discharged the fire extinguisher into the open back window of a Silver Suzuki Vitara that had stopped at traffic lights on High Street about 7.50pm on Sunday.

The 29-year-old male driver and five-month-old child passenger suffered minor injuries in the incident.

Police have confirmed the fire extinguisher used in the incident was stolen from a nearby car park on Courage Street, Sippy Downs, earlier that night.

Police are appealing to anyone that recognise the two people in the vision to contact them.
