Police are investigating several incidents involving two reportedly stolen vehicles on the Sunshine Coast.

Police initially received reports of an attempted stealing of a vehicle from a business at Simpson Street, Beerwah, on Wednesday about 12.10am.

A grey Jeep Grand Cherokee and a red Toyota Yaris were reportedly at the business and one person reportedly entered an orange Ford Ranger that was parked at the business and started to drive it away.

The owner of the Ford reportedly chased the car and was involved in a physical altercation with the man attempting to drive it away.

The man driving the Ford then reportedly returned to the Toyota and drove it into the Ford several times, before driving away with the Jeep.

Shortly after, about 1.10am, police were called to reports of a break-in at a business on Duporth Avenue, Maroochydore.

Upon arrival, police say they witnessed two people and the red Toyota Yaris at the business.

Police believe entry to the business was made by the Toyota being driven into the front windows.

After being confronted by police, two people reportedly ran from the scene and were picked up by another vehicle nearby.

Police followed the vehicle but lost sight of it on the Sunshine Motorway.

Police searched the Toyota, which remained on scene, and the area around the business. They located personal belongings, knives, break and enter tools and multiple items that were allegedly stolen from the business.

The Toyota was towed to a police facility for forensic examination.

The Toyota was reportedly stolen from an Aspley address on Wednesday between 7am and 8.15am, along with a Jeep Cherokee.

Police believe multiple people to be involved in the incidents. Those people and the Jeep remain outstanding.

Investigations are underway and police are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
